Frequently asked questions
Common questions about registering, pricing, payouts, and using MyMCP.
- What is MyMCP?
- A platform to discover, respect, and support the works (MCPs) individual makers build. There are two ways to publish — run your own server and just connect its URL (MyMCP relays without holding what's inside), or, with no code, upload your material and it becomes a work. Either way MyMCP handles auth, billing, call counting, and revenue sharing.
- How do I publish my MCP?
- Sign in and set your provider username. If you run your own server, register its endpoint URL from the dashboard (once the health check passes it's published; your code keeps running on your infra). If you don't code, just upload your material and define a form — that's enough to publish.
- Do I upload my MCP code to MyMCP?
- You never upload code. If you run your own server, nothing is uploaded — your code stays on your infrastructure (Cloud Run / Fly.io / your VPS) and MyMCP only relays authenticated traffic to it. If you publish without code, you upload your material (Markdown / PDF / CSV, not code) and MyMCP serves it as a work.
- How much does it cost?
- MyMCP Plus for buyers is ¥550/month (tax incl.) for unlimited use of pool MCPs (rate-limited). Registering as a provider is free. See the pricing page.
- How are payouts shared?
- Each buyer's monthly fee is prorated across the MCPs they actually called (Spotify-style) and paid to providers via Stripe Connect — MyMCP never holds the funds.
- What's the provider's cut?
- Pool mode: 70% to the provider (30% platform fee). Premium mode: 80% to the provider.
- How do I call a registered MCP?
- Paste the issued gateway URL and your MyMCP API token (from the dashboard) into your MCP client config (Claude Desktop / Cursor, etc.).
- Is there a review process?
- Anything not clearly harmful (malware, ToS violations) is welcome. A failing health check isn't a rejection — it's saved as a draft you can fix and re-publish.
